Skiing in Bad Kleinkirchheim: head down to the headed ski room, out of the Hotel Almrausch, into the chairlift and head off into variety-packed ski fun on more than 100 kilometres of pistes and up to over 2000 metres altitude – snow fun and piste joy from the start of December through to the start of April for beginners, pleasure skiers and experts.
What could be nicer then starting out first thing in the morning with a pair of lovely warm ski shoes, heading out of the heated ski room via the shortest and most direct route to the ski piste? As a guest in the Hotel Almrausch, which is located on the Sonnwiesen ski run and at the valley station for the chair lift, you have a choice – take the Sonnwiesen lift, which you can get to on your skis right from the hotel, or take the Maibrunnbahn, which you get to after a short walk through the underpass. Tip: while skiing you get to enjoy the lovely Almrausch cuisine. Pay a visit to Strohsackhütte ski lodge at the intermediate station for the Kaiserburgbahn, right at the valley station for the Strohsack chair lift, and enjoy the soup of the day (voucher in the hotel lobby)!
Skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and winter hikers really appreciate the ski area in the middle of the Nock mountains, where some 800 snow canons provide unadulterated winter sports opportunities. In the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area it is not just more than 100 kilometres of ski runs which await, there are also two spas which, with their various relaxation and activity areas, invite adults and children alike to relax, enjoy a sauna, swim and play.
Fantastic: a multi-day ski pass (from two days and over) which is also your entry ticket to the spas. You are also able to decide on the spur of the moment if you would prefer to relax on the ski piste or in one of the spas. More information about the spas you will get here.
Enjoy your first swings in the snow, wedel casually down the slopes or get some race experience on the speed measurement route – the Carinthian ski area inspires with an unbelievable variety of offers. Four ski schools offer winter sports courses for young and old alike. On the agenda are group and private lessons for Alpine skiers and carvers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers.
