Josef Juritz and his team provide high quality and courteous service in the 4-star Hotel Almrausch

Being a host was something Josef Juritz was literally born into, having grown up in a renowned Carinthian gastronomic business and completed his specialist hotel training in Bad Hofgastein. His professional path lead him to numerous luxury hotels in this country and overseas. Even at the tender age of 20 he achieved gold at various competitions. The highlight was the gold medal at the ‘Berufsolympiade’ in Prague in 1990. The service which he seeks to provide his guests – attentive and unobtrusive at the same time – is something this wine and cheese sommelier and service ‘maestro’ has a flair for.

My duties to make your holiday unforgettable

  • ‘Culinary pleasure is something which I feel is very important to my guests. Yet this should not be pretentious. Well-being is the most important thing in life.’

  • Upkeep of the online presence for the Hotel Almrausch**** via social networks  and assessment platforms (responding to assessments)
  • Photographer in my spare time - providing lovely pictures of daily culinary surprises and of the variety-packed activities in the Almrausch and in the surrounding area; website presentation, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and much more.

  • Head chef in the Almrausch for more than ten years, trained as a chef, before gaining experience abroad (national & international, on cruise ships and the like.)
  • Preparing a culinary surprise for all guests every day
  • Coordinating culinary events (e.g. Captain’s Dinner on Millstätter See, Alm Brunch in the Strohsackhütte, themed buffets evenings etc.)
